Australian Adventure Group Technology Pty Ltd appoints B2B Tech veteran Greg Parkes as Chief Executive Officer

Following the announcement in December 2022 that Australian Adventure Group Technology Pty Ltd (AAGT) acquired technology brands WebsiteTravel Global Marketplace, TravelDesk and OperatorHub from Imperium Tourism Holdings, the company has today announced its appointment of Greg Parkes as CEO.

Greg brings to AAGT more than 20 years leadership experience in both public and private companies across the SaaS, financial services and telecommunications sectors, ranging from start-up to ASX-listed businesses in growth and turn around environments. While new to the travel sector, Greg is an avid traveller, having hiked many of the world’s most iconic trails in France, Nepal, Argentina, Africa, Canada, Alaska, New Zealand and our very own Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory. This passion for adventure, combined with his deep experience in leading the growth of B2B tech companies will be key to driving the recovery and growth of adventure tourism via the company’s technology brands.

Greg is supported by the company’s new Chair, Ken Ryan, who brings extensive experience in the tourism and logistics sectors from a successful senior executive career at Qantas and as a board member of Toll Holdings.

“We are extremely excited to have Greg join our business to lead the growth of our world class technology products. After a tumultuous three years in the sector, it was important for us to bring in a CEO with extensive experience in growing tech businesses from the ground up, and to bring someone in with a fresh set of eyes and genuine passion for adventure travel. We are thrilled to have appointed Greg to build on the legacy of our technology brands.” – Ken Ryan
